UP Schools going modern: Gone are the days when the sarkari schools were dimly lit and the teachers were lacking, with no promise of quality or modern education. This reality is now a thing of the past. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a remarkable transformation is about to happen.

To kickstart this education makeover, 928 schools from kindergarten to 12th grade will get a shiny upgrade courtesy of the PM SHRI program, investing 404 crore rupees in the first phase.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan jointly launched the PM SHRI Schools initiative at Lok Bhawan in a significant stride towards modernizing education in Uttar Pradesh. This initiative marks a crucial move aimed at transforming 928 schools in the state, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to position India as a global leader in education.

Operation Kayakalp: Building the Bricks of Better Learning:

Operation Kayakalp is an ambitious initiative that has breathed new life into 96% of basic schools across Uttar Pradesh. What does this mean in real terms? Additional classrooms, sparkling clean toilets, modern laboratories, and most importantly, the introduction of smart classes that offer modern education!

Gone are the days of dusty textbooks and monotonous lectures. Children are now learning interactively, embracing technology, and preparing for a brighter future.

PM SHRI Yojna Unveiled, UP Schools:

During the launch event, CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized this initiative with Prime Minister Modi’s vision in the National Education Policy 2020. The first phase of the PM Schools for Rising India (SHRI) Yojana concentrates on upgrading 928 schools with state-of-the-art facilities and modern education.

Global Leadership:

CM Yogi Adityanath, revising PM Modi’s vision, stressed the need for India to regain its global leadership position in modern education. He highlighted the vast educational spread in the state. Five crore children are pursuing education across Uttar Pradesh, which is more than most of the population of several countries worldwide.

Empowering Modern Education through PM SHRI Yojna:

CM Yogi Adityanath elaborated on the goals of the PM SHRI Yojna, highlighting its function as a change agent. The National Education Policy 2020 and the initiative, which Prime Minister Modi unveiled on Teacher’s Day in 2022, are a perfect match.

 

 

Funds Allocated for Improving School Facilities

During the launch, CM Yogi Adityanath and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan allocated a substantial amount of Rs 347 crore for infrastructure development in secondary schools under ‘Project Alankar’.

This financial commitment solidifies the government’s dedication to providing top-notch facilities that enhance the overall educational experience for students. Also, their commitment to providing each student with a modern education and making them future-ready.

Teachers as the carriers of modern education

Recognizing the crucial role of teachers in this transformation, the government acknowledged and awarded those at the forefront of conducting smart classes. These educators are the heroes paving the way for modern education in Uttar Pradesh, inspiring young minds, and shaping a brighter future for the state.
